    In San Simón and San Judas festivity day, the anniversary of the final conquest of Zahara by the Christians, which took place in 1483, is commemorated.

    The central event consists of the procession of the banner that waved, as a sign of conquest, on top of the “Torre del Homenaje” that day. During those days, several cultural events are celebrated (all in one week) such as the following ones: Painting contests, poetry, photography and also exhibitions and conferences about local history and traditions.

    Activities:
    Apart from the ones already mentioned, cultural week ends with:
    • Traslado del Pendón (banner transfer).
    • The Mayor's speech
    • Local festival opening speech
    • Popular lunch in Plaza del Rey
